MEET THE ARTIST
I’m Kristy, and I began painting during the early days of my journey into motherhood, after my mum was diagnosed with Posterior Cortical Atrophy, a rare form of dementia, at just 59 years old. She was a gifted artist, and as her illness took away her ability to create, I picked up the brush she could no longer hold as a way to feel close to her.
Through Mother’s Memories, I create still life paintings inspired by the everyday objects that hold meaning - for me, and for others wanting to honour or remember their mums. Each piece is a tribute to love, memory, and the beauty in the ordinary.
In honour of my mum, and to help others facing this cruel disease, I donate 10% of profits to the Dementia Australia Research Foundation.
